Preparing Global Citizens

The Office of International Programs (OIP) is the central coordinating international office for the University of Minnesota system. With a goal of "preparing global citizens," OIP promotes the internationalization of the teaching, research, and outreach missions of the University.


OIP's Global Spotlight announces grant programs

This all-University grant program includes two grants for faculty and two for graduate students. During this biennium, the focus of the faculty grants and one of the graduate student grants is on the Global Spotlight themes of Africa, and water in the world.

International Education Week 2009

International Education Week 2009 is November 16-20. University of Minnesota departments, campuses, and student groups are encouraged to plan events to highlight the University's support of international education. International Education Week was first declared by the U.S. Departments of State and Education in 2000.
