Preparing Global Citizens
The Office of International Programs (OIP) is the central coordinating international office for the University of Minnesota system. With a goal of "preparing global citizens," OIP promotes the internationalization of the teaching, research, and outreach missions of the University.
UMTC wins Simon Award
The award from NAFSA: Association of International Educators—the world's largest nonprofit association dedicated to international education—recognizes outstanding and innovative efforts in campus internationalization. Senior Vice President Robert Jones accepted the award at a ceremony in Los Angeles on May 29.
Johnson selected as Learning Abroad Center director
Martha Johnson has been selected as the director of the Learning Abroad Center, after an extensive national search. Johnson is the current interim director of the center. She has worked in education abroad since 1991 and has served in numerous leadership positions and task forces of international education organizations.
