The University of Minnesota participates in many development projects through a variety of departments on campus.
Midwest Universities Consortium for International Activities
The University of Minnesota is a member of MUCIA, a consortium of five major U.S. research institutions including University of Illinois, Michigan State University, Ohio State University, and Purdue University. MUCIA’s goals are to undertake human resource development and institutionbuilding projects involving teaching, research, and extension. A full range of services is provided, including technical assistance, development of technology for the private sector, and short-term professional training.
