Application Instructions
- Review the grant guidelines.
- Submit an application using OIP's online system (see below). Note: The
two-page online application must be completed at one time as you will
not be able to reaccess an application if you leave it unfinished for
any reason.
- You must print the completed online application using your web browser's
print function. This printed copy must be included with the additional
application materials turned in to OIP.
- Prepare the following information before you begin the online application:
- Your U of M I.D. number, degree name (ex: D.V.M., M.A.), college
you are enrolled in, your department/program name, your field of
study/specialization, beginning date of enrollment, and anticipated
completion date of degree requirements.
- Your country of citizenship, email address, home phone, office
phone, and current address.
- Name, phone number, and address of your emergency contact.
- Name, title, email address, and campus address of your primary
adviser.
- Title of your project, proposed start date, proposed end date,
proposed country/countries, and city or region of research.
- Brief description of activities to be undertaken with this grant
(100 words or less).
- Type of project (research or study/internship). You will need to choose if you have arranged the curriculum or itinerary yourself or it is a pre-arranged curriculum or itinerary.
- Brief description of any previous secondary or postsecondary international travel or study (100 words or less).
- Postsecondary education attended prior to current graduate/professional program, institution, start date, end date, degree/certificate, and GPA.
- Scholarships, grants, fellowships, or other awards you have held including amount and dates.
