Erin Altemus, 2006 Judd Fellow
As a Judd Fellow Erin recorded the stories of First Nation communities of Ojibwe and Cree people in the Canadian Boreal forest. See her Judd Fellow profile. Amy Becker, 2005 Judd Fellow
As a Judd Fellow Amy worked on and developed global pandemic flu policy. See her Judd Fellow profile. She received her M.P.H. from the University in public health policy and global health in 2006. Amy is a coordinator at the Center for Infectious Disease Research & Policy (CIDRAP) for promising practices in pandemic practices. She said the work she did during her Judd Fellowship pertains greatly to the work she does today at CIDRAP.
Emily Bright, 2006 Judd Fellow
As a Judd Fellow Emily interned with the U.S. resettlement program in Accra, Ghana, she prepared refugees from Liberia and French-speaking West Africa to resettle in the U.S. See her Judd Fellow profile. Emily has published Glances Back poetry of history, storytelling, and faith. See Emily's blog.
Sarah Christianson, 2008 Judd Fellow
As a Judd Fellow Sarah photographed six areas of Norway from which her ancestors came and researched contemporary Scandinavian art practices as part of her M.F.A. thesis project. See her Judd Fellow profile. Sarah will show her photographs in the upcoming exhibition, "Gamlelandet " featuring photos she took while abroad on her Judd Fellowship. Sarah's work explores the Norwegian landscape and the memories of farms that once belonged to great- and great-great grandparents. Her work is on display from Apr. 11-26 at Umber Studios. Éireann Lorsung, 2005 Judd Fellow
As a Judd Fellow she studied printmaking and drawing at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice. See her Judd Fellow profile. Éireann is the author of the debut collection of poems, Music for Landing Planes By. Éireann sells clothing she designs at her website Ohbara. Éireann is working towards a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies at the University of Nottingham.
